Guillamón scores for Spain Under-21s
As solid as ever in defence, Hugo Guillamón showed another side of his game with the Spain Under-21s on Tuesday night, scoring a goal in a 3-0 win over Kazakhstan to earn qualification for the European Championships.

Despite their dominance in possession, 'La Rojita' did not find the net until the Valencia CF player nodded in a free kick from Peinado to open the scoring.
Spain would follow up with two goals from Dani Gomez to extend their advantage and mathematically ensure their spot in the tournament, to be held in Hungary and Slovenia next year.

With the game settled, coach Luis de la Fuente took Guillamón off on 83 minutes. His mission had been accomplished, helping his team to a clean sheet and scoring his first goal for the Under-21s.
Spain have qualified for the European Championships with two games remaining, thanks to their 8-point lead over North Macedonia.
